FAQs

How can I trust a stranger in my home?

Although most individuals are apprehensive about allowing an unfamiliar person to care for them, assistance from a non-family member can be a good thing. However, we do not just send anyone to your home. Each of our caregivers must pass a rigorous process of background screening that far exceeds the state regulatory requirements and is the most comprehensive in the industry. In addition, all in home services, whether skilled or non-skilled, are supervised by registered nurses.

How can you help me?

We begin our home care process with a careful assessment of a client’s physical, social, mental and environmental needs. We get to know your interests as well as your medical needs and analyze which home care services work best for you and your loved ones.

I've heard independent practitioners are cheaper; is it dangerous to hire one?

Yes! For safety and security, each of our caregivers is bonded and insured. Independent practitioners are most likely uninsured, unlicensed and can hold clients responsible for injuries that occur while they are on the job. Plus, they are not subjected to our comprehensive industry exclusive background screening process.

By contracting with a legitimate company with quality credentials, the family needs not worry about liability from taxes, worker’s claims or any of the other problems associated with directly hiring caregivers.

Our agencies are available to assist your loved ones by offering in home care that is safe, effective, mitigates inherent risks and is affordable.  Based on the needs of the client, caregivers who meet your criteria are assigned from a matching process to assure the best possible fit. All services are supervised by a registered nurse, while offering value-added clinical oversight of the patient’s health status as it will change over time.

How can I pay for your services?

Our agencies accept Medicaid, Medicare and some private funding. Our staff will work together with you and your loved ones to find the best method. We also accept major credit cards.

What do I need to look for in a home care agency?

To ensure you receive high quality home care, be proactive and interview the home health agency with your own questions, pay attention to their track record of customer testimonials and verify if there are violations with the local and state government. We are also encouraging all stakeholders—family members, governing agencies, referral sources, employees, advocates and persons served—are asked to report compliance and regulatory concerns to local program management, or to managers in human resources, quality improvement or other functions.
